Family Support & Fundraising Coordinator

My name is Linzi Cowley, I am the Family Support and Fundraising Coordinator. I’m the first point of contact that new families make with DSUK - I process all the new family requests to join DSUK and I send out the family welcome packs. 

I process all the applications we have for monitors and send out any merchandise that you might order from our shop. And of course, I make sure all our lovely children and their siblings receive birthday cards!

As Fundraising Coordinator, I’m the person to contact if you need anything to help support your fundraising events. Do email me if you’ve got an event coming up. I also help organise our Centre Parcs weekends and our Conferences - so you will be sure to see me there if you come to one of these events.

My background includes working with children with special needs, working for Mencap and being a nursery nurse at a special needs school. I also spent a decade as a support worker and activity coordinator in a residential home for young adults, with a range of challenging needs from learning disabilities, mental health issues, physical disabilities, behavioural needs, epilepsy and sensory impairment.

I live in Derbyshire and I’m married with two children.
