Virtual cooking or baking class
A great way to share skills during lockdown and help raise funds is to run a virtual cooking or baking class and charge a fee for others to join. You could even create your own version of Bake Off!

Virtual auction
There's lots of way to raise funds through auctions. Think about the skills in your community and what different people can auction off. Perhaps someone can auction a homemade cake whilst someone else could auction an hour’s language lesson.
Virtual quiz night
Host an online quiz or online trivia and get people to pay to take part. Or join one of our Dravet Family Pub Quizzes!
Online Shopping
If you shop online, you can raise funds for DSUK without any extra charges for you - find us at Amazon Smile or easyfundraising.org.uk.
Just Giving
No matter what your fundraising activity, Justgiving a really useful site for sharing your story, raising sponsorship and providing an easy, secure way for people to make donations.
Sponsored silence
A great one to get the kids to do for some piece and quiet at home!
Virtual exercise session
If you or someone you know runs Zumba, yoga or other exercise classes, why not try taking this online via Zoom or similar, and charge a fee for others to join.
Supermarket money boxes
Lots of local supermarkets and shops have money boxes for charity. You could ask if they would support Dravet Syndrome UK as their chosen charity.
Recycling
There couldn’t be an easier way to raise money than by recycling ink cartridges. We are registered with www.recycle4charity.co.uk and for every ink cartridge you send, we receive £1.
Virtual or silent disco
Put a playlist together and get everyone dancing round their living rooms for a silent disco via Zoom - charge a fee on the door to people as they enter virtually
Virtual portrait drawing
Host a video session on Zoom or similar and get the participants to draw portraits of each other - charge a small entrance fee to join in.
